Lot 179: A Collection of Contemporary Garden Ornaments and a Solar-Powered Rock Light
A pair of storage chests comprising one metal shipping trunk and one wooden transit case. The metal trunk is of rectangular construction with iron reinforcement bands and drop handles. It features white stencilled text on one side reading L. WELLS, BELLE VUE, MARAZION, CORNWALL ENGLAND. The wooden transit chest is finished in battleship-grey paint and retains iron hinges and heavy-set drop handles to the sides. A partial paper label is visible on the top of the wooden chest but remains illegible. These items are typical of mid-20th-century personal effects or military equipment transport.
