A vintage Haws professional-grade watering can of traditional long-reach design, manufactured from galvanised steel. The vessel features a long, straight spout, a fixed horizontal cross-handle, and a large arched rear handle designed for balance and controlled pouring. A circular maker’s plaque is affixed to the top shoulder near the filling aperture; the surface of this medallion is worn, rendering the specific text illegible. The can is fitted with a detachable oval-shaped rose constructed from copper or brass, which is stamped on the reverse with the inscription HAWS No 2 & 3 GENUINE. This mark identifies the component as an authentic product from the renowned British firm, Haws, founded in 1886. The construction demonstrates traditional industrial sheet metal and galvanising techniques typical of mid-to-late 20th-century horticultural equipment.
