Lot 752: A Large Collection of Vintage Costume Jewellery Brooches
An assortment of mid to late 20th-century costume jewellery featuring nature-inspired motifs. The collection includes several brooches and necklaces. Among the brooches are four butterfly designs: one silver-tone piece set with clear rhinestones, a pink and silver-tone enamelled example, a larger silver-tone brooch with dark green and black enamelled panels, and a gold-tone brooch with multi-coloured enamel wings in shades of red, blue, and green. A further brooch is rendered as an openwork gold-tone leaf, possibly sycamore or maple. The necklaces consist of a silver-tone chain with a heart-shaped glass or resin pendant containing internal blue, gold, and magenta foil inclusions, and a long silver-tone fashion necklace set with various pink and purple beads, including a prominent oblong maroon bead and a square pink bead. The pieces are constructed from base metals, enamel, glass, and plastic. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the items.
