Lot 904: A Comprehensive Royal Doulton Fine Bone China Dinner Service in the Alton Pattern
A mid-20th-century dining suite in the mid-century modern style, consisting of a drop-leaf dining table and a set of matching chairs. The table features a rectangular veneered top with rounded ends and two drop-leaf sections, finished in a dark reddish-brown stain. It is supported by four simple, square tapered legs. The matching chairs feature curved top rails over four vertical back slats, standing on square tapered legs. The seats are upholstered in a textured, multi-tonal beige and tan patterned fabric. No manufacturer marks are visible; however, various auction lot stickers and labels are present on the surfaces, including a white label numbered 907.
