Lot 1001: A contemporary red leather two-piece sofa suite
An Edwardian style tub armchair or occasional armchair constructed from mahogany-stained hardwood. The chair features a horseshoe-shaped crest rail supported by three pierced splats with geometric diamond lattice detailing, interspersed with six vertical slats. The design incorporates integral armrests supported by the seat frame. The bow-fronted seat is padded and upholstered in a floral and avian patterned tapestry fabric, featuring birds and flowers on a cream-coloured ground, finished with a decorative gimp trim. The frame is supported on square-section tapered legs. A white auction lot sticker reading 1004 is affixed to the central back splat. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the frame.
