Lot 1021: A Regency Revival Mahogany Twin-Pedestal Dining Table and a Set of Matching Chairs
An Edwardian mahogany wind-out dining table of rectangular form featuring canted corners. The top is constructed with figured mahogany veneer and decorated with a crossbanded border and satinwood or boxwood string inlay. This inlay detail is continued on the apron and down the four square tapered legs, which terminate in brass and ceramic castors. The table utilizes a wind-out extension mechanism and includes one additional leaf. A handwritten label on the tabletop identifies the piece as an Edwardian inlaid wind-out dining table, and a partial auction label from Ward Auction Rooms is also present.
