A collection of framed artworks and prints, primarily featuring maritime and landscape subjects. The group includes a large colour print on paper after S.F. Smitheman (British, born 1944), depicting the steamship ‘The Great Britain’ arriving at South Street, New York, on 10th August 1845 during her maiden voyage. This print is signed in the plate to the lower left and bears a descriptive caption along the bottom margin with a copyright notice for the 1973 Great Britain Project. The work is set within a dark wood frame featuring a gold-tone inner slip and double matting. Also included in the collection is a stylised artwork depicting figures near stilt houses in a silver-toned frame, an aerial view townscape, and several other framed prints and pictures. Various pieces in the lot carry auction labels numbered 917 and 920, as well as a small pink circular sticker.
