Lot 170: Two Mid-20th Century Antipodean Interest Gold-Toned Souvenir Stick Pins
Two mid-20th century Antipodean-interest souvenir stick pins of gold-toned metal construction. The first pin is designed in the form of a kiwi bird facing right, featuring a body inlaid with blue and green crushed mosaic opal chips. It is fitted with a wavy, crimped pin stem. A tiny, illegible stamped mark is present on the reverse rear edge of the kiwi bird’s body. The second pin depicts a koala clinging to a branch with textured detailing. It is fitted with a straight pin stem and is unmarked. No clutch backs or pin guards are present with either pin.

Koala pin length: 3.0 cm.
