Lot 126: Mid-20th Century Perforated Metal Five-Tier Display Stand
A mid-century floor-standing display rack or etagere, designed in the high-tech utility style of the 1950s or 1960s. The unit features a tubular chrome-plated steel frame, defined by two continuous curved loops at the top forming integrated handles. The frame supports five fixed, diamond-shaped shelves constructed from perforated metal sheeting with raised rims. Each shelf is positioned at a diagonal incline, a form characteristic of commercial display units or domestic magazine and shoe storage from the period. A small paper label is affixed to the upper left corner of the frame, though the characters are indistinct and illegible.
Dimensions: Not provided.
