Lot 209: A Pair of Reconstituted Stone Twin-handled Planters in the Classical Style
A pair of reconstituted stone twin-handled planters, designed in the Classical style. Each vessel features a deep circular basin with a central drainage aperture. The exterior body is decorated with relief-molded floral swags and scroll motifs, flanked by twin handles modeled as stylised animal heads. The rim is finished with a beaded border. Each planter is raised on a fluted pedestal tapering to a square base. The material exhibits a weathered, textured surface consistent with composition stone exposed to the elements. One urn retains an adhesive auction label from HCP Auctions South West for lot 209.
