Lot 223: A Cast Reconstituted Stone Scalloped Birdbath in the Classical Style
A cast reconstituted stone garden birdbath of two-part construction. The piece features a shallow, scalloped-edge circular basin with ornate scroll-work volutes around the rim. The basin is supported by a turned baluster-form pedestal, which terminates in a square plinth base with scroll motifs at each corner. The item is finished in a light sandy-coloured cast stone. A white paper auction lot label with the number 223 is affixed to the interior of the basin. No maker marks or inscriptions are visible on the piece.
