Lot 248: A Mid-20th Century Industrial Four-Drawer Desktop Cabinet and Contents
A mid-20th-century industrial utility desktop cabinet of rectangular form, featuring a wooden carcass finished in a dark red textured rexine or leatherette material. The cabinet is designed with four drawers in a two-by-two configuration, each equipped with a brass-toned metal label-holder pull. The chest contains an assortment of vintage workshop tools and hardware, including various adjustable wrenches, open-ended spanners, and a metal protractor. Hardware items include a collection of brass-toned butt hinges, brackets, hooks, and fasteners. Other contents include hacksaw blades, Rowney’s Carpenter pencils, and a yellow Romac brand tin for Cure-C-All products. A white auction label printed with the number 248 is attached to the upper left drawer front.
