Lot 257: An Assortment of Vintage Hand Tools and Workshop Equipment with a Metal Cantilever Toolbox
This lot comprises an assortment of vintage hand tools and workshop equipment. The primary item is a blue-painted metal cantilever toolbox of multi-tier construction. The tools contained within include a manual breast drill with red components, a chain pipe wrench, a variety of open-ended and ring spanners, hammers, and wood-handled tools such as files or chisels. Screwdrivers with plastic handles are also present.
Accompanying the toolbox are several bags of accessories. A blue plastic bag contains a red storage case and a green analogue multimeter or battery tester with a multi-coloured scale. A tan jute bag, printed with the text PLANTS LOVE LIFE, holds a black handheld torch with a green accent ring, a heavily oxidised rectangular metal tin, and several glass jars. One jar lid is marked for the brand Robertsons, indicating the jars were repurposed for hardware storage. A clear bag contains miscellaneous small components. The toolbox is marked with an adhesive label numbered 257.
