A large cast resin garden ornament depicting a seated elephant in a mournful pose, with its head lowered and its trunk raised towards its face. The sculpture features a deeply textured surface simulating elephant skin and is finished with a weathered grey and moss-green patina acquired from outdoor use. The tip of the trunk is marked with an impressed copyright symbol and the date 1999, alongside a partially legible name beginning with the letter C, attributed to Martha Carey for The Herd collection. A handwritten label associated with the piece references model number 6613.
