Lot 323: A Collection of Industrial and Engineering Books including Shop Theory and The Complete Engineer
A collection of industrial and engineering reference books featuring titles from the early to mid-20th century. The group includes a volume of Shop Theory, prepared by the Shop Theory Department of the Henry Ford Trade School, Dearborn, Michigan. This volume is bound in dark blue cloth with gilt-stamped lettering to the front board.
The collection also contains multiple volumes from the series The Complete Engineer, published by George Newnes Limited, London. These volumes are bound in green cloth with gilt-stamped titles and decoration to the spines. Visible volumes in the group include Volume II: Production and Volume III: Installation Work. The spines feature the publisher name Newnes at the foot.
A further partially visible blue cloth-bound volume is included, showing Volume III and text related to engineering on the spine. The books are in a standard octavo (8vo) format. An auction lot tag for HCP Auctions South West, labeled Lot 323, is affixed to one of the volumes.
