Lot 452: Two items comprising a large two-tone wicker basket and a pair of carved wooden fireplace bellows
A lot consisting of two domestic items. The first is a large rectangular basket of hand-woven construction, featuring natural and red-dyed wicker. The basket is designed with a thick corded rim and a matching horizontal central band, and it is fitted with two solid wooden handles. It bears a printed auction label for Liskeard Auction Rooms, lot number 452, and a handwritten paper tag numbered 1088. The second item is a pair of decorative fireplace bellows. The dark-stained wooden front plate is decorated with a relief-carved foliate motif. The sides are constructed from red leather secured to the frame with rows of metal studs, finished with a tapered cast metal nozzle and a woven collar.
