Lot 498: A Walther-Glas clear and frosted glass lobster pattern shell form serving platter
A large pressed glass serving platter produced by Walther-Glas of Germany, designed in a stylized seashell form. The oval dish features a scalloped rim and radiating ribbing across the clear glass body. At the centre of the platter is a relief-moulded depiction of a lobster or crayfish, finished with a contrasting frosted, satin texture. A raised manufacturer mark for Walther-Glas is present on the interior surface of one of the lobster claws. The item retains a paper lot label from Liskeard Auction Rooms.
