Lot 504: An Assortment of Porcelain Thimbles in a Wooden Display Rack with Royal Commemorative Items and Toys
This lot features a collection of porcelain and ceramic thimbles, the majority of which are housed within a multi-compartment wooden display rack. The thimbles are decorated with various transfer-printed designs, including travel souvenirs for locations such as Ireland, Canada, Cyprus, Widecombe, and Tintagel, alongside floral and character motifs. Notable specific items include a Royal Albert floral thimble in its original branded box and a commemorative thimble for the 1981 marriage of the Prince of Wales to Lady Diana Spencer, presented in a blue box. Also included is a boxed thimble for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee 1952-2012 and a group of thimbles in a plastic display case from Miss Mouse Crafts and Gifts, which includes a piece commemorating the engagement of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
