Buyer's Premium:

A trio of novelty ceramic items, comprising two glazed earthenware teapots and a small decorative figurine. The first item is a rectangular novelty teapot with a lid designed as a clock tower, featuring a gold-gilded cupola finial. The cream-glazed body is decorated on one side with a transfer-printed and coloured illustration depicting golfers in traditional attire on a golf course, inscribed with the cursive script A Round of Golf along the lower edge. The handle, spout, and rims are highlighted with gold-coloured gilding. This item is in the style of James Sadler and Sons of Staffordshire. The second item is a novelty teapot modelled as a half-timbered Tudor house. The lid is formed by a pitched tile roof with a red brick chimney finial. The body features transfer-printed and hand-painted details of leaded windows, timber frames, and a wooden door, complemented by a textured cream-coloured spout and handle. This item is in the style of the English Country Houses series by James Sadler and Sons. The third item is a small decorative windmill figurine, decorated in a Delft-style underglaze blue and white palette with hand-painted floral and scroll motifs. The item features attached movable ceramic sails. No manufacturer marks are visible on the bases from the angles provided. The golf-themed teapot retains an auction lot label for Liskeard Auction Rooms, Lot 544.
