Lot 554: A Set of Four Poole Pottery Twintone Mushroom and Sepia Coffee Cups and Saucers
A set of four earthenware coffee cups and four matching saucers by Poole Pottery, finished in the Twintone Mushroom and Sepia colourway (pattern C54). This set features a classic mid-century modern aesthetic with a two-tone matte glaze scheme. The teacups have a light mushroom-coloured exterior and a contrasting sepia-toned interior. The saucers correspond with a sepia-toned upper surface and a mushroom-coloured underside. The cups are designed with simple, rounded bodies and plain loop handles. The base of the pieces bears a printed factory mark featuring the name Poole in an arch above a stylised dolphin symbol, with England printed below.
