Lot 565: Indian Style Hand-Painted Metal Wall Rack with Three Elephants and Four Hooks
A decorative Indian style wall-mounted rack intended for hanging coats, keys, or other lightweight household items. The rack is constructed from painted metal and features a horizontal flat bar with four curved hooks welded to the front. The assembly is ornamented with three flat-cut metal elephants, each featuring pierced lattice-work detailing on their blankets. The entire piece is hand-painted; the support bar and hooks are finished in a reddish-orange tone, while the elephants are individually decorated with traditional floral and geometric motifs in black, pale green, and navy blue. An auction tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms is attached to the lower right, identifying the item as Lot 565.
