Lot 677: A set of cut crystal glassware attributed to Cristalleries de Lorraine, comprising a claret jug and eight wine glasses
A high-quality suite of French cut-crystal glassware, attributed to Cristalleries de Lorraine. The collection includes a claret jug (handled decanter) with a faceted, pointed stopper and eight matching wine glasses. Each piece is decorated in a traditional pattern featuring broad fan-cut palmettes situated above a diamond-cut band. The glasses are designed with stems featuring faceted knops leading down to circular bases with star-cut undersides. A gold foil label remains on the base of at least one glass, inscribed Véritable Cristal Taille Main, indicating the pieces are hand-cut. The items are housed in two original navy blue presentation boxes with white satin-lined interiors.
