Lot 750: A Neoclassical style revival mahogany-stained open armchair with botanical upholstery
A Neoclassical style revival open armchair, dating to the late 20th century. The hardwood frame is finished in a mahogany-toned stain and features a square upholstered back and seat. The chair is dressed in a contemporary printed fabric with a botanical branch pattern in teal and taupe tones on an off-white ground. The open arms incorporate small upholstered pads known as manchettes and the upholstery is finished with decorative brass-headed nailhead trim. The frame stands on four square tapered legs. No maker’s marks or manufacturer labels are visible on the exterior. A white auction lot tag bearing the number 750 is attached to the right arm and a small pink circular sticker is adhered to the top of the back rail.
