Lot 777: A Vintage Dutch Style Leather and Carved Oak Lounge Suite
A vintage lounge suite consisting of a sofa and a matching armchair, designed in the Dutch or Flemish revival style from the late 20th century. The suite features substantial frames of dark-stained oak, heavily carved with traditional foliate, shell, and scrollwork motifs. The upholstery is executed in a mustard-coloured leather, featuring decorative stitching to create a voluminous, overstuffed appearance on the backrests, seats, and armrests. A distinctive characteristic of this set is a concealed storage compartment built into the side of the sofa frame, fitted with a hinged wooden lid and a leather pull tab. The armchair currently bears a white auction lot tag numbered 777.
