Lot 804: A Late 20th Century Paisley Upholstered Bustle Back Armchair and Matching Footstool
This set comprises a large, overstuffed armchair and a matching rectangular footstool in a traditional late 20th-century style. The armchair is designed with a high bustle back consisting of three vertical padded sections, complemented by generously rolled arms and a deep, thick removable seat cushion. Both pieces are upholstered in a heavy-weight fabric featuring an all-over paisley pattern in shades of terracotta, ochre, and light blue on a navy blue ground. The upholstery is finished with piped edges throughout. The items are supported by small dark wood or plastic feet, which are partially visible at the base of the footstool. A small white manufacturer’s tag is present on the arm of the chair, but the characters are not legible.
