Lot 850: A Large Meccano Model of a Crane Truck and Low Loader Trailer
A large-scale mechanical construction model attributed to Meccano, assembled from various vintage components. The model consists of a multi-axle heavy-duty tractor unit connected to a multi-axle low-loader trailer. The trailer carries a mobile crane unit featuring a manual winding mechanism with a cord and hook, integrated with a series of gears and pulleys. The construction is primarily comprised of perforated steel strips and plates in yellow, blue, and zinc-plated finishes, assembled with nut-and-bolt fixings. The vehicle units are fitted with multiple axles and black rubber or plastic tyres. The design appears to be an advanced or bespoke build utilising parts consistent with Meccano production from the 1970s onwards.
