Lot 851: Three Meccano Metal Construction Models Comprising a 4x4 Off-Road Vehicle and a Sports Car with Low-Loader Trailer
A group of three metal construction models manufactured by Meccano, appearing to belong to the Design and Tuning series from the early 2000s. The lot consists of a large-scale 4×4 off-road vehicle, a sports car, and a coordinating low-loader trailer. These models are constructed using the traditional Meccano system of perforated metal plates and strips secured with nuts and bolts, combined with plastic and rubber decorative elements. The 4×4 off-road vehicle is built with black and silver-toned metal components and features large, deep-tread rubber tyres on silver-coloured plastic rims. It is equipped with a manually operated front forklift mechanism and carries decals including the number 13 on a blue ground and the numbers 4 and 5 in yellow squares. The sports car is finished in orange and silver-toned metal, featuring a stylized yellow flame motif on the side panels and a Meccano brand decal. It is fitted with low-profile tyres on chrome-effect plastic rims and displays the number 8 on the rear pillar. The three-axle low-loader trailer is constructed from silver and red metal with a hinged rear loading ramp and six small black plastic wheels. All vehicles feature manual rolling wheels.
