Lot 909: Art Deco waterfall style walnut veneered secretaire tallboy chest, circa 1930
This Art Deco waterfall style secretaire tallboy chest dates to approximately the 1930s and features a vertically split front design. The exterior is finished in walnut veneer, most notably displaying a prominent book-matched sunburst pattern on the drop-front secretaire panel. This fall-front section occupies the upper left portion of the unit and opens to reveal a fitted interior with stationery pigeonholes and a writing surface. The remaining front is configured with a stack of three drawers to the right and two drawers below the secretaire on the left. The piece is fitted with circular embossed metal knobs featuring a floral motif. The interior components are constructed from a lighter secondary wood, such as pine. No manufacturer labels, stamps, or marks were identified during inspection.
