A spindle-back side chair in the traditional British country style. The chair features a shaped solid wood seat with a prominent wavy grain pattern characteristic of elm. The backrest is composed of seven vertical spindles, with the outer two spindles featuring decorative turnings, all mortised into the seat and supporting a broad, curved crest rail.
