Lot 7: A 1 Litre Bottle of KEO V.S.O.P. 12 Year Old Cyprus Brandy
A vintage 1 litre bottle of KEO V.S.O.P. (Very Superior Old Pale) Brandy, produced by KEO Ltd in Limassol, Cyprus. The brandy carries an age statement of Full Twelve 12 Years Old on a gold-toned neck band and is labelled as being bottled-in-bond under government supervision. This specific bottling was produced for military distribution, bearing the inscription NAAFI STORES FOR H.M. FORCES. The front label features the KEO heraldic crest surrounded by ornate grapevine borders. The reverse features a blue-bordered label stating that the brandy was awarded a Gold Seal in the International Wine and Spirit Competition, referencing a diploma from 1974. The bottle is sealed with a gold-coloured screw cap embossed with the maker’s name on the side and a red printed seal on the top. The base of the green glass bottle shows moulded characters including a 7 and a 2.
