Lot 71: A Pair of Mid-Century Stylised Ceramic Cat Figurines
A pair of mid-century modern glazed ceramic figurines depicting reclining cats. Each figure is designed with an elongated neck and sleek, minimalist form, characteristic of mid-century decorative arts. The cats are finished in a uniform off-white gloss glaze. The pointed ears and facial features are suggestive of the Siamese or Oriental Shorthair breed. No maker marks, model numbers, or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces. The style is reminiscent of pieces produced by mid-20th century British potteries such as Beswick or similar continental and Japanese manufacturers.
