Lot 78: A Collection of Eleven Vintage Costume Jewellery Brooches
A collection of eleven assorted vintage costume jewellery brooches featuring naturalistic, celestial, and abstract motifs. The assortment includes a silver-tone crescent moon brooch set with rows of red and aurora borealis rhinestones; an oval silver-tone cameo brooch with a white profile in relief against a black ground; a gold-tone starfish brooch with a textured surface; and a small gold-tone butterfly set with clear rhinestones. The floral selection comprises a silver-tone lily with a clear rhinestone centre, a curved spray set with clear rhinestones, and a gold-tone filigree flower featuring blue stones and a central faux pearl. Geometric and abstract pieces include two gold-tone swirl brooches with clear rhinestone accents, an elongated silver-tone brooch with intricate openwork filigree, and a modernist silver-tone brooch composed of overlapping circular discs set with two square-cut clear stones. The items are constructed from base metals with assorted paste stones, resin, and imitation pearls. No manufacturer marks are visible on the obverse.
