Lot 115: A Set of Three Royal Copenhagen Blue and White Porcelain Floral Dishes
A set of three small circular porcelain dishes manufactured by Royal Copenhagen, Denmark. These pieces, likely intended for use as butter pats or pin dishes, feature underglaze blue floral decoration against a white ground. Two of the dishes depict edelweiss flowers, while the third features a different floral specimen, possibly a wild rose. The decoration is applied in a soft-focus style characteristic of the factory, with the blue tones diffusing into the glaze. The reverse of each dish bears the official Royal Copenhagen mark, consisting of a circular stamp with a crown and the manufacturer name, alongside three hand-painted wavy blue lines representing Denmark’s three straits. The dishes are marked with pattern or shape numbers 2771 and 3602. One dish retains an original rectangular gold foil label featuring the Royal Copenhagen crown.
Diameter: 7.5 cm.
