Lot 121: Framed Frank Warren Championship Boxing Promotional Programme Reading 14 July 1998
This lot consists of a framed promotional programme sheet for Frank Warren’s Championship Boxing event, held at the Rivermead Leisure Complex in Reading on Tuesday, 14th July 1998. The printed material features biographical profiles and records for several British boxers, including Jason Matthews, Wayne Alexander, Stephen Oates, Ian Napa, Takaloo, Scott Dann, Jason Williams, and Adrian Riley. The sheet includes a section titled A Message From Your Promoter by Frank Warren and an advertisement for the WBO World Cruiserweight Championship rematch between Carl Thompson and Chris Eubank at the Sheffield Arena on 18th July 1998. A signature in blue ink is present over the promoter’s message section; based on the context of the Reading event, this is attributed to the local boxing trainer and manager Solly Singh. The item is presented in a white frame with a white card mount.
