A mid-20th-century variable speed bench motor produced by Sew-Tric Ltd, England. The unit features a central motor finished in a hammer-tone grey paint, mounted with two thin abrasive wheels on either side of the spindle. The base incorporates a variable speed control dial with settings numbered from 1 to 5. A black metal identification plate is affixed to the base, specifying H.P. 1/6, V 230/250, and Cycles 50. The motor assembly is secured to a heavy metal base plate. Positioned beneath the motor is a heavily oxidised cylindrical component, likely serving as a tool rest or auxiliary attachment. The unit is fitted with a black power cable.
