Lot 222: A Collection of Weathered Cast Stone Garden Planters and Statuary
An assortment of traditional garden ornaments and planters. The collection includes two circular cast stone planters designed in the manner of rustic wooden pails, featuring moulded horizontal banding and significant remnants of a blue-green painted finish. Accompanying these are several pieces of garden statuary, including two classic gnomes: one seated figure and one standing figure with remains of red paint on its pointed hat. Also included is a large, fan-shaped or shell-form decorative garden ornament with a flat reverse, a smaller heavily weathered figure, and a nested arrangement of a traditional terracotta flower pot within a textured cast stone vessel. The pieces are constructed from cast stone (reconstituted stone) and terracotta. Each item bears an auction label for HCP Auctions South West identifying the group as Lot 222.
