Lot 271: A Collection of Vintage Costume Jewellery, Woven Sewing Basket with Contents, and Miniature Hand-Painted Figures
An assortment of vintage items comprising a collection of costume jewellery and accessories, a mid-20th-century sewing basket, and a group of miniature wooden figures. The jewellery selection includes various bead necklaces featuring faux pearls, faceted glass, plastic, and polished stone-effect beads in green and amethyst tones. Also included are several metal bangles, wooden disc necklaces, and a floral-motif brooch. The lot contains two wristwatches: a gold-tone analog watch with a black dial and leather-style strap, and a black digital sports watch. Miscellaneous items within the box include a Bostik glue stick and a power adapter marked Model LA-0510. The sewing basket is of woven wicker construction with red trim and handles, featuring a lid lined with multi-coloured psychedelic floral fabric. The interior wooden tray contains a selection of vintage thread spools from makers including Sylko (English Sewing Ltd) and Dewhurst’s. Visible thread labels include Royal Blue and Coral Flair. A small round box contains a group of miniature hand-painted wooden figures in a folk-art style, depicting animals such as cows and deer alongside human figures, decorated in bright primary colours.
