Lot 317: A 46-Piece Mid-to-late 20th Century Jingdezhen Porcelain Dinner Service in the Wan Shou Wu Jiang Pattern
This is a comprehensive porcelain dinner service produced in Jingdezhen, China, during the mid-to-late 20th century. The service is decorated in the traditional Wan Shou Wu Jiang (Longevity Without Limits) pattern. The design features a vibrant rose-pink ground with a dense sgraffito scrolling foliage pattern and polychrome chrysanthemum blossoms. The decoration is centred around four circular white medallions, each containing one of the red-glazed characters for Wan Shou Wu Jiang. The rims and foot-rims are finished with a yellow-ground border featuring a multi-coloured Greek key meander motif and stylised ruyi heads. The base of the pieces bears a stamped red mark with the Chinese characters 中国景德镇 (Zhongguo Jingdezhen) and the English text MADE IN CHINA.
