Lot 327: A Collection of Vintage Vinyl LP Records in a Red Portable Storage Case
A collection of approximately 25 to 35 12-inch vinyl LP records, predominantly dating from the 1960s and 1970s, contained within a vintage portable storage case. The case is constructed from a wooden or composite board with a textured red rexine-style vinyl exterior and a black paper-lined interior. It is fitted with a metal-grip top carry handle and a front metal latch. A handwritten adhesive label to the front identifies some of the contained artists, including The Shadows, Cliff Richard, Elvis Presley, and The Carpenters. The selection of albums comprises easy listening, pop, and ballroom dance music. Identified titles include The Carpenters: The Singles 1969-1973, Elvis Presley: Elvis’ Christmas Album on the RCA Camden label (catalog number CDS 1155), and Ray McVay and his World Ballroom Dancing Championship Orchestra: Dance Dance Dance The Modern Way (catalog number CDS 1087). Also included is The Very Best of Roger Whittaker and various other budget-label compilation albums.
