Lot 395: An Assortment of Ceramics and Glassware Including Teapots a Figurine and Earthenware
An assortment of household ceramics and glassware comprising several teapots, a figurine, and various decorative items. The collection includes a porcelain teapot of rounded form featuring transfer-printed floral sprays of roses and bluebells with hand-applied gilt highlights, in the style of English makers such as Price Kensington. Also present is a white ceramic teapot with a fluted body and scalloped lid, and a larger white earthenware teapot with a contrasting pale yellow glazed lid. The lot further contains a polychrome glazed ceramic figurine of a lady in a tiered pink dress and wide-brimmed hat, accented with gold detailing to the bodice. Accompanying these is a collection of small circular earthenware pots with a two-tone glaze of terracotta-orange and dark brown. Glassware is represented by a clear glass decanter or vase with a slender neck and flared rim. Additional pieces include a white ceramic mug with multi-coloured horizontal stripes and a small lidded vessel decorated with pink roses and a pink ribbon bow. No maker’s marks are visible on the pieces provided.
