Lot 428: A Pair of Men's Bowler Hats by Henry Heath London with Original Hat Box
This lot consists of a pair of men’s bowler hats, also known as derby hats, manufactured by the London hatter Henry Heath. Both hats are crafted from stiffened black felt, featuring a traditional rounded crown and a curled brim. Each hat is finished with a wide black grosgrain ribbon band terminating in a flat side bow, with matching grosgrain binding along the brim edge. The set includes a single cylindrical cardboard hat box decorated with a dark brown and gold diagonal stripe pattern. The box bears a gold foil label printed with the text Hats by HENRY HEATH. This manufacturer was historically located on Oxford Street, London. The box is fitted with a black fabric carrying strap and contains internal packing material.
