Lot 452: A Large Collection of Porcelain and Metal Souvenir and Decorative Thimbles
An extensive collection of souvenir and decorative thimbles, primarily constructed from fine bone china and porcelain, accompanied by several metal examples. The ceramic thimbles feature a wide variety of transfer-printed designs, including topographical scenes of British and international locations such as Liverpool, Plymouth, Bermuda, Cornwall, and Mablethorpe. The assortment also contains floral patterns, astrological motifs including Gemini, and commemorative subjects such as the Union Jack. Several items are presented in clear plastic protective capsules with various coloured lids in blue, maroon, and black, with one bearing a Sea World retail label.
