Lot 520: A Trio of Silver and Base Metal Items comprising a Desk Seal, a Hallmarked Heart Pendant and a Ring
A trio of items comprising a desk seal, a silver heart pendant, and a silver ring. The desk seal features a turned, cream-coloured handle displaying longitudinal grain consistent with bone or ivory, terminating in an ornate silver-toned metal mount with scrolling foliate decoration. The heart-shaped pendant features an embossed floral and foliate border surrounding a central polished heart-shaped panel. The reverse of the pendant is stamped with a maker’s mark and four British hallmarks including a lion passant and a leopard’s head for London; the date letter and other marks are worn and illegible. The ring consists of a silver band set with an oval, pale pink cabochon gemstone, appearing to be rose quartz, held in a bezel setting with a beaded surround. The interior of the ring band is stamped SIL.
