A collection of antique horse brasses, lot 538, manufactured from heavy sand-cast brass with integral attachment loops and characteristic rough reverse surfaces. The group features several traditional and commemorative motifs. Notable examples include a horseshoe brass with a central male bust in profile and a cast inscription reading LONG LIVE THE KING, likely produced for the coronation of Edward VII. An agricultural brass displays a central wheatsheaf and crossed implements within a pierced border. The collection further includes several circular equestrian brasses depicting figures on horseback, one featuring the numeral 10 cast into the rim, and another horseshoe brass depicting a trotting horse. Height: approximately 75mm to 100mm.
