Lot 544: An Assortment of Vintage Textiles, Sewing Notions, and Decorative Household Objects
This mixed lot comprises a variety of vintage sewing accessories, textiles, and decorative items. The sewing notions include a circular turned wooden thread stand with a central spindle and multiple spools of thread, a wooden darning mushroom, and an additional wooden handle. The textiles consist of several pieces of white and cream lace-trimmed linens and doilies, together with a length of crocheted trim. Musical interest is represented by a packet of Martin and Co. M140 80/20 Bronze Light acoustic guitar strings. Decorative objects include a small round desk clock with a gold-toned bezel and an illustrated face depicting a Dutch landscape with a windmill and tulips, and a folding paper fan hand-painted with birds and floral branches. The fan bears vertical columns of black ink characters at the lower left, which include the characters 春 and 画. The collection is housed in a black cardboard box. Box: 31.5cm x 17cm x 11cm.
