Lot 569: Andean Bamboo Rondador Pan Flute with Decorative Pompoms
An Andean folk-style rondador or pan flute constructed from thirteen hollow bamboo tubes of graduated lengths arranged in a single row. The tubes are secured between two horizontal wooden slats with pink and white cord lashing. The front is decorated with four yarn pompoms in red, orange, light green, and dark green. A braided multicoloured cord in red, yellow, and black is attached for hanging or carrying. No maker’s marks or labels are present. Width: approximately 15-18cm.
