Lot 602: Two cast metal miniatures including an Alton of Birmingham charcoal iron and a Chinese style horse and cart
A lot comprising two cast metal decorative miniatures. The first item is a miniature charcoal iron with a matching separate footed trivet stand. The iron is of cast construction featuring a hinged lid with a latch mechanism, a looped handle, and pierced ventilation holes along the sides. The body is decorated with floral relief patterns. The trivet stand is embossed with the marks BHAM, ALTON, TR, and the number 1007. The second item is a model of a single horse hitched to a two-wheeled cart with twelve-spoke wheels, rendered in a Chinese antique bronze style. Both items are finished with a heavy green verdigris-style patina. Weight: Under 1kg.
