Lot 723: A Trio of Late 20th Century Continental Style Carved Hardwood and Ochre Leather Seating
A three-piece lounge suite comprising a three-seater sofa, a two-seater sofa, and a matching rectangular ottoman. Each piece is constructed with a heavy, exposed hardwood frame featuring elaborate carvings of scrollwork, foliate motifs, and gadrooned edges, finished in a medium-brown stain. The suite is upholstered in vibrant ochre-yellow leather with deeply padded, integrated cushions. The leatherwork exhibits extensive decorative pleating and gathering throughout. A small white rectangular label marked 228 is present on the front arm of the two-seater sofa. No maker’s marks or manufacturer labels are visible.
