Lot 738: Mid-century Air Ministry Oak Dressing Chest
A mid-twentieth-century British oak dressing chest. The piece is constructed from light oak and oak veneers, featuring an asymmetrical vertical divider. The drawer configuration comprises two small stacked drawers to the left, each with a single pull knob, and two wide stacked drawers to the right, each fitted with twin pull knobs. All six turned wooden knobs appear to be original to the piece. The chest stands on integrated tapered legs that form part of the side panels. A rectangular swing mirror is mounted between two square-section uprights. The internal drawer boxes are constructed using dovetail joints.
