Lot 779: A Contemporary Knotty Pine Three-Drawer Bedside Chest
A contemporary three-drawer bedside chest constructed from solid knotted pine throughout, including the secondary wood used for the drawer sides and base. The chest features a rectangular top with an ogee-moulded edge, situated above a bank of three drawers. Each drawer front is finished with a matching ogee-moulded border and is fitted with a single central turned wooden knob. The piece is finished in a warm honey-coloured stain that emphasises the natural grain and prominent knots of the timber. The drawer interiors are constructed from solid pine planks. No manufacturer marks are present; however, an auction house identification label is affixed to the upper left side, inscribed with Lot 770 166.
